Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data is and is not processed when you use TimeConvertor.net (timeconvertor.net), and which third-party services may be involved. TimeConvertor.net is designed to minimize data collection: the tools themselves run entirely in your browser.

1. Times and inputs are computed locally

The dates, times, cities, and timestamps you enter into TimeConvertor.net tools are processed by JavaScript running on your own device. Live clocks read your device's clock, and conversions use the IANA time zone data shipped with your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted to TimeConvertor.net's servers, logged, or stored by us as part of normal tool operation. Closing the page discards your inputs. Analytics events, where enabled (see section 5), never include the values you entered or the results you received.

There is one deliberate exception, and you opt into it explicitly: the group availability poll, which is an account-backed feature and does store data. It is described in full in section 2.

One exception to "nothing is fetched" exists, and it carries no personal data: pages with live clocks check your device clock's accuracy by requesting a timestamp from timeconvertor.net's own server. That request contains no typed input and no identifiers beyond what any normal HTTP request carries (see section 3); the response is a single server timestamp. No third-party time service is contacted.

2. The group availability poll

The group availability poll is the one feature that stores data, because it has to: it collects responses from several people over time. When you create or answer a poll you sign in with a one-time email link (a “magic link”). While a poll is live we store, in a dedicated database, the poll itself (its title, optional description, date range and settings), each participant’s chosen display name and time zone, and the time slots each participant marked as free — each linked to the signed-in email that submitted it. A participant’s email address is used only for sign-in and is never shown to other participants or to the organizer. We do not use this data for advertising or analytics, and we do not share it with anyone else. Poll data expires automatically about 45 days after the poll is created, after which it is deleted. 3. Technical hosting data

TimeConvertor.net is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosting, serving pages involves processing technical request data such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and requested URLs, which may appear in short-lived infrastructure logs used for security, abuse prevention, and operations. This processing is performed by the hosting provider as part of delivering the site. See Vercel's privacy policy for details of their practices.

4. Cookies and consent

The TimeConvertor.net site itself does not set cookies for the tools to work, and no advertising or analytics cookies are set unless and until those services are enabled and, where required, you have made an applicable consent choice. If advertising or analytics are activated in your region, a consent-management dialog will govern which optional technologies may run, and you will be able to revoke your choice at any time through the same mechanism.

5. Analytics data

TimeConvertor.net may use an analytics service (such as Google Analytics 4 or Vercel Web Analytics) to understand aggregate usage — for example, which tools are visited and whether errors occur. Where analytics are active, they are limited to coarse interaction events (such as "a conversion completed" or "a validation error was shown") and never include the values you entered. Analytics identifiers and cookies, where used, are subject to the consent choices described in section 4.

6. Advertising data

TimeConvertor.net may display advertising provided by Google AdSense to fund free tools. When ads are active, Google and its partners may process technical data (such as IP address and page context) and, depending on your consent choices, may use cookies or similar technologies to select and measure ads. Where consent rules apply, personalized advertising runs only after an applicable consent choice; non-personalized options are used otherwise. For details, see Google's advertising policies and Google's privacy policy. Ad blockers do not affect the functioning of TimeConvertor.net tools. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in Google My Ad Center, and opt out across many other vendors at Your Online Choices (Europe) or YourAdChoices (US). Opting out makes advertising non-personalized; it does not remove advertising.

7. Third-party services

Depending on configuration, the following categories of third parties may be involved:

  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery (always).
  • Google AdSense — advertising (only when enabled).
  • Analytics provider — aggregate usage measurement (only when enabled).
  • Consent-management platform — records consent choices (only when advertising/analytics requiring consent are enabled).
  • Database and email sign-in provider — stores group availability polls and sends the one-time magic-link sign-in emails (only for the group poll, section 2).

TimeConvertor.net does not sell personal information. Apart from the group availability poll described in section 2 — which uses a one-time email sign-in and a dedicated database — it does not operate accounts, profiles, or user databases.

8. Data retention

Outside the group availability poll, TimeConvertor.net retains no user-entered data — there is nothing to retain, because the dates, times, and cities you enter never reach our servers in normal operation. Group poll data (section 2) is the exception: the poll, participants’ names and time zones, and their availability are stored in a dedicated database and deleted automatically about 45 days after the poll is created. Technical logs held by the hosting provider, and any analytics or advertising data held by the providers above, are retained according to those providers' published retention policies. Consent choices are stored in your browser and/or by the consent-management platform for the period required to honor them.

9. Your rights and contact

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because TimeConvertor.net holds almost no user-entered data — the group availability poll (section 2) being the exception — most such requests will concern either your poll data or the third-party services listed above; we will point you to the correct controller and assist where we can. 10. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated as services are enabled or changed — for example, when advertising, analytics, or consent management goes live. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
